Delicious Prawns Curry Recipe | Easy Shrimp Curry
Cooking Time – 20 mins | Serves – 6 to 8
INGREDIENTS:
1. Prawns – ½kg
2. Onions – 2 (medium size)
3. Ginger-garlic paste – 1tsp
4. Coriander powder – 1tsp
5. Jeera powder – 1tsp
6. Green chillies – 4 small pieces
7. Red chilli powder – 2tsp
8. Turmeric powder – ½tsp
9. Oil – 2tbsp
10. Coriander leaves
11. Curry leaves
12. Salt to taste
RECIPE PREPARATION:
1. Wash the prawns well with cold water and leave them in a colander to drain.
2.Take a pan, heat 2tbsp of oil, add curry leaves and let this splutter. Then add the chopped onions, chopped green chillies and fry till they turn golden brown.
3.Add ginger-garlic paste, coriander powder, jeera powder and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Next add red chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder and fry well for about 3-5 minutes.
4.Now add the prawns and allow it to cook for 6-8 minutes. Add half cup of water, and bring the curry to a boil and cook on medium flame until the gravy thickens and you see traces of oil on top.
5.Do not overcook they turn hard. Once done, switch off the flame. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
