Delicious Mutton Curry | Indian-Style Lamb Curry Recipe
Cooking Time – 35 mins | Serves – 10
INGREDIENTS:
Mutton – 1kg
Ginger-garlic paste – 1tbsp
Tomato – 1 (Big size)
Onions – 2 (Big size) Poppy seeds (Gasalu) paste – 1tbsp
Cashew nuts paste – 1tbsp
Coriander powder – 1tsp
Cardamom – 2
Cloves – 4
Cinnamon stick – 1
Turmeric powder – 1tsp
Oil – 2tbsp
Salt to taste
RECIPE PREPARATION:
1. Wash mutton well under running water and drain it completely. In a pressure cooker, heat 2tbsp of oil then add cardamom, cloves, cinnamon and let these all splutter.
2. Add the onions and fry till the onions are golden brown. Then add ginger-garlic paste, coriander powder, turmeric powder, chopped tomatoes and sauté for 5 minute still the tomatoes are soft.
3. Add the mutton pieces into it. Mix well and cook for 8-10 minutes till the oil separates. Now add salt, red chilli powder, poppy seeds paste, cashew paste along with2 cups of water.
4. Close the lid and pressure cook for 3-4whistles. Switch off the flame and let the steam escape before opening the lid.
5. Simmer for 5-10 minutes and allow it to cook until the gravy thickens. Once you get the desired consistency switch off the flame. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
