Chicken Curry Recipe – Cooking Time – 25 min | Serves – 10
INGREDIENTS:
1. Chicken – 1kg
2. Ginger-garlic paste – 1tbsp
3. Oriander powder – 1tsp
4. Poppy seeds (Gasalu) paste – 2tbsp
5. Cashew nuts paste – 2tbsp
6. Onions – 2 (medium size) Cardamom – 4
7. Cloves – 4
8. Cinnamon stick – 1
9. Turmeric powder – 1tsp
10. Red chilli powder – 2tbsp
11. Salt to taste
12. Curry leaves
13. Oriander
14. Oil – 2tbsp
RECIPE PREPARATION:
1. In a pan, add 2 tbsp of oil then add cardamom, cloves, cinnamon and let this splutter.
2. Fry for some time and add curry leaves.
3. After this, add chopped onions and fry till the onions turn brown.
4. Add ginger-garlic paste, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and salt to this.
5. Into it, add chicken pieces, red chilli powder andclose the lid and let this cook for 10 minutes in low flame.
6. Then open the lid, add a cup of water and let the chicken cook well.
7. When the chicken cooks well, add poppy seeds (gasalu) paste, cashew nuts paste and keep stirring until gravy thickens.
8. Once done, switch off the flame. Then garnish with coriander leaves, mint leaves and onions.
