Huma Saleem Qureshi is a prominent Indian actress and model known for her impactful performances in both mainstream and independent cinema. Born on 28 July 1986 in New Delhi, India, Huma was raised in a traditional Muslim household. Her father, Saleem Qureshi, is a successful restaurateur and her mother, Ameena Qureshi, is a homemaker. Huma has three brothers, including Bollywood actor Saqib Saleem.

A graduate in History from Delhi University’s Gargi College, Huma began her acting journey in theatre, performing with the Act 1 theatre group under the mentorship of N. K. Sharma. She later moved to Mumbai in 2008 to pursue a career in films and appeared in a few television commercials before landing her breakout role.

Huma made her Bollywood debut in Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur Part 1 and 2 (2012), where she garnered massive critical acclaim.
