Who is Ramya Pandian?

Ramya Pandian (born 13 August 1990 in Ilanji, Tenkasi, Tamil Nadu) is an Indian actress, dancer, model, and influencer primarily active in Tamil cinema. Armed with a B.E. in Biomedical Engineering from Anna University, she began her career as an R&D analyst at Zifo Technologies before transitioning into film.

Her acting journey started with the short film Maane Theyne Ponmaane (2015), followed by her feature debut in Dummy Tappasu (2015). She rose to prominence with Joker (2016), directed by Raju Murugan, earning praise for her portrayal of Malliga in the National Award-winning drama .

Ramya continued to receive critical acclaim in the family drama Aan Devathai (2018), depicting a modern working mother balancing career and family.

Ramya’s versatility extends to television and digital platforms. In 2019, she became the runner-up on Cooku With Comali, and later in 2020, placed as 2nd runner-up on Bigg Boss Tamil Season 4. That year, she also judged Kalakka Povadhu Yaaru Season 9 and debuted in the crime-thriller web series Mugilan on ZEE5 (2020).In 2021, she starred in Raame Aandalum Raavane Aandalum produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment, and made her Malayalam debut with Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam (2023) alongside Mammootty.
